@TakumiFuji01 when i mean reliability, i mean it won't last at all. in Gr A they replaced their 4ag's every race. also, he never tried to get it to go over 11,000 rpm. he set the rev limiter at 9500 cuz he wants the expensive engine to last long. also, if an engine revs to 11k rpm, its gonna have a rough and high idle so its hard to drive in the streets. not to mention, high revving engines have a very small power band so u have to rev in that certain range.
@TakumiFuji01 the header didn't burn or anything, they tried to start it but they mixed up the + and - side of the wire so the wire started to burn. i know japanese so yeah..
@TakumiFuji01 even with the mechanics idk how takumi's engine lasts so long. he battles like every week, drives up and down yaseone touge every other day in his ae86, drives it through the streets and stuff like a normal ae86 daily driver thing..........

@LaidbackMarco Also (no offense) but does it really have to be "JDM" i mean the usdm version is still the same cahssis and parts, just lhd instead of rhd.... sorry but i think u still have to think this through more, cuz im 99.9% sure u can't get a panda trueno imported from japan for anything near 5,000 dollars. MAYBE 10,000 dollars. but its easier to just get an "usdm" GT-S for 3000 dollars and modify from there(panda paint zenki front bumper blah blah blah)
@LaidbackMarco its gonna be EXTREMELY HARD TO IMPORT A GOOD AE86 TRUENO FROM JAPAN UNDER 5G. MAYBE 10G. if u in the us then just get a 85 or 86 corolla GT-S. the only difference is really the smog stuff and front bumper..go to club4ag.com and look for a good one.. Also, how much do u know about this car, cuz i see alot of ppl that want the car, buy it, and get REALLY stressed out about it cuz they can't do what they want to do with it(like 20V swap) and just sell it and hate it.

@TakumiFuji01 well, they have the same exact engine(Gr. A 20V 4A-GE) just akira limited his engine for 230hp @ 9000 rpm due to reliability issues.
